It was an honor to present 2022 Hillebrand Prize to Awardee Richard Weiss at the April 6, 2023, CSW dinner
meeting. After the award ceremony, Richard Weiss presented a seminar on, “What Your Parents Didn’t Tell You About Jell-O…or Molecular Gels.”
Recognized for his contributions to an understanding of the relationship between structure, function and the chemical and photophysical properties of polymers and gels, as well as their applications, and of the impact on generations of students and fellow researchers (both here and around the globe) in the course of more than fifty years as an academic scholar.
