
CSW has been selected as a finalist for the ACS ChemLuminary Award in three categories:
- Outstanding Local Section Career Program Award
- Best Continuing Senior Chemists Activity within a Local Section
- Outstanding or Creative Local Section Younger Chemists Committee Event
The winners will be revealed during the ACS Fall 2025 event in Washington, DC, on Sunday, August 17, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Ballroom A/B, Level 3. CSW will participate in a one-hour poster session prior to the ceremony, showcasing the activities that led to the finalist selection. We hope you will attend this event at the ACS Fall Meeting!
This year’s ceremony will feature a keynote address by Brian Gibney, honoring Professor Pat Redden, the recipient of the 2025 Award for Volunteer Service to the American Chemical Society. Following the keynote, awards will be presented by 21 committees of the Society, celebrating the invaluable contributions of volunteers to improve all people’s lives through the power of chemistry.
