The Chemical Society of Washington (CSW) partnered Dr. Richard Goodman for Chemists Celebrate Earth Week. Volunteers Verlese Gaither and Odalys Campos walked participants through the chemistry activity “Small Changes in Structure Can Lead to Big Changes in Fragrance” which demonstrates how enantiomers effect smell. The CSW outreach coordinator, Dr. Stephanie Moffitt, was pleased to hear that the activity materials she prepared were well received by the100 or so residents who participated in the Earth Day Festival.
