ACS Black History Month Celebration – Trailblazers & Pathways: Honoring Excellence in the Chemical Sciences – February 26, 2025

The CSW Minority Affairs Committee participated in the Black History Month Celebration by hosting a booth at the event, which was organized to honor the achievements and contributions of Black chemists and scientists in the chemical enterprise. ACS President Dr. Dorothy Phillips led the celebration, inviting attendees to recognize the impact of Black professionals in the field. The event featured a fireside chat with guests from various industries and partner organizations, who shared their personal journeys and successes in chemistry and beyond. Open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in chemistry and the chemical sciences, this free event provided a valuable opportunity for networking, mentorship, and professional development.
