Menu: Meal will be catered by W. Millar & Co. and will feature chicken and salmon marinated in traditional Moroccan spices with grilled peppers & onions served over saffron basmati rice, with freshly baked bread board, including Cookie & Bar Desserts. Beverages will be provided.
Vegetarian option (Ve, GF – warm Falafel with roasted veggie tagine and quinoa) is available by request only.
Cost: $24 (1/2 price for students and high school teachers)
An RSVP is required for dinner so we can plan appropriate seating and meals.
Registration is required if you wish to participate virtually via Zoom
RSVP by noon (ET) Tuesday, November 11, to csw@acs.org. Please provide the names in your party as well as your contact information when you RSVP. The public is invited to attend. You may attend the talk only at no charge, but reservations are appreciated. If you need any further information or would like to make a reservation, please contact the CSW office by email at csw@acs.org.
Parking: Parking is available in nearby commercial parking garages. Please be aware that garage closing times vary. Parking is also available on the street after 6:30 pm, but be aware that most parking meters are in effect until 10:00 pm and may be limited to 2 hours. You should check the individual meters for details and payment methods as some are no longer coin-operated.

Speaker Bio
Albert Horvath became the Chief Executive Officer on January 1, 2023. Al joined ACS in February 2019 as the Society’s Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining ACS he served as Chief Operating Officer and Under Secretary for Finance and Administration at the Smithsonian Institution. In that role, he was responsible for financial, business and administrative activities of the largest museum, research and educational complex in the world. Prior to joining the Smithsonian, Mr. Horvath spent more than two decades working in administration for some of the leading research universities in the country including Penn State, Columbia University, California Institute of Technology, New York University, and Carnegie Mellon University. He began his career at Mellon Bank in his hometown of Pittsburgh before moving into higher education. A native of Pennsylvania, Mr. Horvath earned his master’s degree in business administration at Duquesne University and his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Penn State.

I’m excited to attend and share my gratitude to CSW for their support and fantastic hosting during ACS Fall 2025 at our homebase in Washington, DC. I’ll look forward to providing highlights on the ACS strategic plan, current activities, and how we’re looking forward to the future at the Society.
