The Chemical Society of Washington congratulates the members of the American Chemical Society who have reached their 50th, 60th, and 70th membership anniversary in 2022! It is a pleasure to recognize this milestone and to acknowledge your contributions to the success of the ACS.
Historically, to celebrate this occasion, the Chemical Society of Washington and Senior Chemists committee would hold a special luncheon in December, at which we would present an ACS Certificate of Recognition for 50, 60, or 70 years of service. Since we are unable to proceed with such an event during the current COVID emergency situation, we have mailed the certificates to recipients and will arrange for a recognition luncheon when it is safe to gather again.
We will also recognize our milestone members at CSW’s virtual meeting being held on December 14, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. We have invited these members to submit a short bio by email to [email protected] no later than November 30th, to be shared on the capitalchemist.org website and made available during the December 8th virtual meeting.
The officers and members of the Chemical Society of Washington look forward to honoring all members who have reached such a milestone anniversary during 2020, 2021, and 2022 once it is safe to meet in person, hopefully during 2023!
