The Spooky Mad Science Expo is an annual event that celebrates science each year at Halloween with activities for all ages. This year’s event will be held at Armistead Boothe Park (520 Cameron Station, Alexandria, VA) on Saturday, October 21 (rain date: October 28), from 3 pm to 7pm.
CSW will be participating this year by running chemistry-based activities for kids. We are seeking volunteers to help at this event. Stephanie Moffitt is leading the effort to coordinate the volunteers from CSW. Please contact Stephanie at [email protected] to volunteer.
Last year’s event was a great success. Volunteers enjoyed connecting with one another and did a phenomenal job bringing their own knowledge and creativity to engage kids in the chemistry activities. The Vice Mayor of Alexandria, Amy Jackson, attended the event and shared this video (opens in Facebook).
