The Chemical Society of Washington congratulates the members of the American Chemical Society who have reached their 50th, 60th, and 70th membership anniversary in 2021! It is a pleasure to recognize this milestone and to acknowledge your contributions to the success of the ACS.
Review the recording of the December 8, 2021, event where we acknowledged the Honorees.
Historically, to celebrate this occasion, the Chemical Society of Washington and Senior Chemists committee would hold a special luncheon in December, at which we would present an ACS Certificate of Recognition for 50, 60, or 70 years of service. Since we are unable to proceed with such an event during the current COVID emergency situation, we have mailed the certificates to recipients and will arrange for a recognition luncheon when it is safe to gather again.
We will also recognize our milestone members at CSW’s virtual meeting being held on December 8, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. We have invited these members to submit a short bio by email to [email protected] no later than November 30th, to be shared on the capitalchemist.org website and made available during the December 8th virtual meeting.
The officers and members of the Chemical Society of Washington look forward to honoring all members who have reached such a milestone anniversary during 2020 and 2021 once it is safe to meet in person, hopefully during 2022!

Thank you for recognizing ACS members who reached 50 years or more membership milestone marker. I did wait a long time to hear from you about the recommended Molecular Configuration Unit for the IUPAC consideration of the International Units Of Measurement to quell the dispute about the Mole Constant which was listed before. I have reached the 50+ marker and I wrote a large number of aspects which get to be considered for the identification of the fundamental matter, the nature of the substance, such as state of it like solid, liquid, gaseous, etc. and the other properties, such as amorphous, crystalline, purity, distribution in substance for use based application including semiconductor applications and other important fields of matter usage and various other saliencies where the Molecular Configuration Unit finds to aid scientific measurements inclusive of spectroscopy and other analyses. I do have a copy of the document which I initially gave to ACS main desk and also to Dr. Paul Terry at a CSW meeting Thank you for your efforts at Acs in earning the good reputation it has around globe. With Seasons Greetings for a wonderful holiday celebration, I send my regards, Sarojini Grigsby
